Voting in Tempe

The last day to register to vote in Tempe's March 10, 2020 municipal election is February 10, 2020.

The next scheduled election in Tempe is March 10, 2020. Registered voters will be asked to choose a Mayor and three council members. Ballots will automatically be sent by mail to all registered voters on February 12, 2020. Return your ballot by mail no later than March 4th. After that, you may drop your ballot off at a Vote Center to make sure it's received in time. Find your nearest Vote Center.   

The 2020 elections will be held as ballot by mail, in which every registered voter automatically receives a ballot in the mail at the start of the voting period.  In a ballot by mail election, rather than assigned polling places on Election Day, there will be Vote Centers, at which individuals may request replacement ballots, vote in person, or drop off their voted ballots.

*Permanent Early Voters will also receive a separate ballot for the presidential preference election about a week after receiving their city election ballot.
